ICT Centre Corporate Laboratory

ICT Centre is currently sensitizing staff on how to secure information. The training is running for five days; from 29th February to 3rd march 2016.  Some of the security measures being taught to the staff include: preventive maintenance, operating system activities, help desk, active directory, passwords and the internet.

The staff members have also been sensitized on other areas of current technology like cloud computing which is a technology that uses the internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications, fiber and wireless technology which is a high speed data transmission medium that transmits data via light waves.

All members of staff are being urged to be careful whenever they are browsing and to report any suspicious cases, for example if you suspect that your email is not secure; you can either change your password(do not use ‘obvious passwords’ like birthdates),or report to ICT security Office.
