A team of 3 ICT members of staff visited Mombasa Campus on Friday 30th September 2016 ahead of the Commission for University Education (CUE) Audit which will take place later this month of October. The purpose of the visit was to ascertain that all ICT services at the Campus were CUE compliant in line with the World Class Status of the University of Nairobi.
ICT is one of the vital services which CUE requires compliance to the set standards. The University of Nairobi has embraced ICT in most of its operations including learning, research, Library, Administration among others.
The Commission for University Education is the sole regulatory body for higher education in Kenya. One of its core duties is to inform members of the public of those universities that are authorized to operate in the country. The team was led by Joseph Muchina (Deputy Director User support and Maintenance), Paul Kariuki Deputy Director (management Information System) and George Ndegwa a Chief ICT officer inharge of Network services from ICT Centre.
