The ICT Center Chief Information Security Officer attended the training which was held at Bamburi Beach hotel in Mombasa County on November 11th – 15th 2019.

The training conducted by the Computer Society of Kenya covered various aspects of disaster recovery planning which involves the process, policies, and procedures that enable delivery of critical technical services to the University of Nairobi in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

The disaster recovery program ensures the technology that supports the business of the university will continue to function even after an event occurs. This is a critical function as ICT is leveraged in teaching and learning and it is of utmost importance that it is able to continue functioning even after unpredictable adverse events occur.

Having this program in place will increase the resilience of the University of Nairobi in all areas of information and communication technology.
