The technology day was conducted by a group from Amiran Communications which is a subsidiary of Balton CP group of companies (UK) and is one of the leading ICT companies in the wider East Africa region.

The Director of Sale Mahmud Subhi gave a short presentation on Unified Security Platforms which is the new market approach of having a single platform to manage security, Safety & IOT. This is where the Video Surveillance, access control, intrusion, fire alerts, PA and more can all be combined into a single platform ensuring critical data is correlated through one user interface.

The hardware and software components of the unified platform are integrated from the point of manufacture. This results in reduced cost for the integrator and end user

The presentation also focused on cyber security - advanced threat mitigation and new market trends. Mr. Sammy Ngugira an employee from Amiran communications explained that the company focused on both virtual and physical security and developed integrated systems with partners, which reduce compatibility complications, a major challenge that has been in the past.
