The University of Nairobi is committed to equipping students with market-ready skills that will give them a competitive edge as they join the world of employment and job creation. On that premise, the University is collaborating with Microsoft to train staff and students in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The first cohort of 42 students from the University of Nairobi are participating in a 3 month intensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ready Program offered by ZAKA in partnership with Microsoft. The participating students are currently pursuing Computer Science, Engineering, and/or Related Majors. The AI ready program will introduce the students to very critical skills in the field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. At the end of the training, the participants will be awarded globally recognized industry certification on Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AI Fundamentals (AI-900) & Data Fundamentals (DP-900). The program is self-paced and collaborative in nature and students are trained by Experts from Zaka.
This program is designed to bridge the gap between the higher education classroom experience and industry. Students participating in the program will: Acquire market-ready skills in the fields of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Graduate with globally recognized industry certifications. Have the opportunity to build their ideas into careers through ongoing challenges and competitions.
The program will be offered in two cohorts for academic year 2020-202. Each cohort is of a 3 month duration.
