The Director of ICT at the University of Nairobi and Chairperson of the Kenya Network Information Centre (KeNIC) Board of Directors, Mr. Paul N. Kariuki, led a delegation to the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Ireland for a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Tabu Irina, MBS.
The engagement aimed to brief the Ambassador on KeNIC’s national mandate, share insights on the standardization of Kenya’s foreign mission digital assets, and seek support for positioning the Embassy of Kenya in Ireland as a pilot and regional champion for the.go.ke adoption programme.

The Kenya Network Information Centre (KeNIC) is the designated administrator and manager of Kenya’s .KE domain, responsible for providing secure and authentic digital identity for Kenyan entities globally.
Operating under a multi-stakeholder model, KeNIC serves the public interest by managing the.go.ke namespace for government institutions — ensuring credibility, trust, and security in official online communications.
The KeNIC delegation commended H.E. Ambassador Tabu Irina for her leadership and commitment to digital transformation. The Embassy’s role as a pilot mission will significantly contribute to Kenya’s efforts to build a unified, secure, and trusted digital presence for its foreign missions.
