Laureen Amateshe was a jovial and a friend to many . She was a distinguished staff at the ICT Centre, University of Nairobi who gave her best expertise to UoN fraternity. 

Ms. Amateshe joined University of Nairobi under the ICT department as an ICT Officer (User Support Services and Maintenance). While at the University she has worked at several stations., latest being the Faculty of Social Sciences.

She was an enthusiastic ICT professional with vast experience in the digital space within the public and private sectors. The drastic changes constantly experienced in the ICT world led her to further sharpen her skills by continuously researching and adapting accordingly in projects she was involved in and in her yester moments tasks.


Lareen amateshe was intelligent, hardworking and passionate about academic endeavors, she was a lifelong learner and had numerous professional qualifications under her belt. She was a gallant ICT warrior. She was resilient, committed and always wearing a smile. she was a lady whose life was in strict compliance with core values. Amateshe was the only daughter to his parents; Dr Kisa and Mr. Rose Amateshe.Laureen was a hardworking lady both in her working place and in her studies too. Upon graduating from high school, she joined the catholic university of east Africa (C.U.E.A) where she pursued a degree in computer science. By the time of her passing, Laureen was pursuing a master’s of science in Agricultural information and communication management, at the university of Nairobi.

To say the least, Laureen was a young lady who was focused, visionary, sociable and a committed team -
player.

Memorial service to be held at the Christ the Teacher Catholic Church (Kenyatta University) starting at 10:00am  on Monday 19th, December 2022.

The Cortege shall be transmitted to her parent's home in Kakamega (Ikonyero, Lukala), on 

Tuesday, 20th December 2022.

The burial service shall take place on Wednesday, 21st December 2022 as from 9:00am.

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's  will for you in Christ Jesus."
