Thursday, September 29, 2025 – The University of Nairobi (UoN) officially launched its Cybersecurity and Data Privacy initiative during an inaugural webinar attended by over 180 participants, with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Human Resource and Administration, Professor John Mande, delivering opening remarks on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor (VC). The event brought together experts from government and regulatory bodies to address pressing issues in digital security.

In a bid to foster best practices in data privacy, the University's Data Protection Officer (DPO) welcomed a delegation from Kibabii University for a benchmarking session focused on compliance with data protection regulations.
