The ICT Centre has developed and implemented a huge portfolio of market driven Management Information Systems (MIS) applications that support the functions of the University.

Due to their competitiveness and market adaptability, these applications have continued to attract the attention of other institutions of higher learning. One such application is the Student Management Information System (SMIS) which has greatly simplified the management of student academic affairs. Others include the e-learning, performance contracting and staff performance appraisal systems.

The university’s ICT infrastructure and resources have grown tremendously over the last decade to cover all campuses and extra-mural centres. The university has continued to enhance its ICT infrastructure to meet the growing demand and ensure that information is processed and made accessible to all relevant stakeholders using the most effective means.

Digital transformation and the growing adoption of multiple devices continues to shape our ICT support services. Our client’s expectations are increasing and becoming complex every day.  To meet these expectations and deliver quality services, across the entire services continuum, cover multiple technology user demands, the section has constantly been re-evaluating its service delivery mode and solutions to cater for its internal and external users.
