Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, damage, or other forms of cyber-attacks. With the increasing use of technology in every aspect of our lives, cybersecurity has become an essential aspect of digital safety.
The University of Nairobi and HUAWEI had a brief signing ceremony of the new Collaborative Agreement on 29th July 2022.
UoN ICT Centre Academy, cohort-2022 had an industrial/academic visit at Huawei telecommunication installation center on July 19th , 2022.
A total of 24 (twenty four) students and 5 trainers (Uon ICT staff) took part in the training of the new technology trends in the market at the Huawei Training Center. This exposed the students to the practical experience of designing, installing and managing of computer telecommunication systems.

The €0.85 stamp is part of a series of definitive stamps illustrated by Martin Mörck (Norway). The German quote on the stamp reads “When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and hope”.
The University of Nairobi Law students won the 10th edition of the moot court competition for the first time.
Trevah Kamau won the overall best researcher while Yvonne Sarange and Joseph Njapit won the overall best oralists.
The moot Court competition event was organized by Kenyatta University and held at Kenyatta University, school of law from 21st -25th March 2022. The competition featured 23 teams from the 14 law schools across Kenya with each team comprising of three members, two oralists and one researcher.
The Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) started in 2015, and is an annual event celebrating local and international innovations while enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The University of Nairobi in collaboration with a large number of partners and stakeholders convene each year to organize and execute the NIW event.
The sites were redesigned to keep pace with the emerging developments in the technological world and the evolving needs of the institution’s stakeholders who include: - students, staff, researchers, sponsors, guardians, collaborators, government agencies and the general public.
