Most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new reality is that learning will no longer be tenable through face-to-face and onsite interactions as has been the case.We are at a turning point when technology is the driver and education, just like other sectors, it has   to change and adopt new methodologies and approaches.

The latest Webometrics(July 2020 Webometrics) ranking of world universities has named University of Nairobi as the best University in East Africa and position 10 in Africa.

University of Nairobi is also among top 1000 best Universities in the world  after it was ranked position 956.

Chief Justice  Maraga  who is the president of supreme court of Kenya  revealed that the judiciary is in the process of building a data center. He indicated that he  would be glad to partner with the University of Nairobi's ICT expertise in implementing the project.He said this during a courtesy call to the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor Prof Stephene Kiama .
