The National Defence University of Kenya has partnered with the University of Nairobi  in its effort of training officers for the Kenya military and others in the region who meet the requirements.

The National Defence University-Kenya was inaugurated on 3rd Aug 2022 by his excellence the president of the republic of kenya,Uhuru Kenyatta . He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering the country’s defence, security and governance professionals through the provision of quality training.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony at Lanet in Nakuru County, President Kenyatta emphasized that without high-quality human capital, the pursuit of sustained socio-economic development will remain a mere dream. 

The University of Nairobi Vice-chancellor prof Stephen Kiama  was present during the event and he was accompanied by  the director ICT  Mr Paul Ndung’u Kariuki , Deputy director network and infrastructure services(NIS) Mr Joram Kinuthia and the project leader (MIS) Mrs Ruth Wambua.
