CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF LAUREEN EMILY AMATESHE

Laureen Amateshe was a jovial and a friend to many . She was a distinguished staff at the ICT Centre, University of Nairobi who gave her best expertise to UoN fraternity. 

Ms. Amateshe joined University of Nairobi under the ICT department as an ICT Officer (User Support Services and Maintenance). While at the University she has worked at several stations., latest being the Faculty of Social Sciences.

DIRECTORATE OF ICT SHINES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI STAFF PERFORMANCE AWARDS 2022

The Directorate of Information and Communication Technology received recognition for exemplary performance in the 2021/2022 Performance Contract which took place in December 5th, 2022, at the Chandaria Auditorium. The directorate of ICT clinched position number 1 as the best performing unit beating all other directorates of the Central Administration at the University of Nairobi.

Bill Gates at UON

The Billionaire business mogul, Bill gates was hosted at the University of Nairobi on Thursday, 17th November 202. Indeed, the history was made as this was his second trip to the continent of Africa. He also visited Makueni County, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)

The Philanthropist had an engagement with UoN experts at the Centre for Epidemiological Modelling Analysis (CEMA), a press briefing and a student engagement forum at the UoN Chandaria Auditorium.

University of Nairobi Research Week- 2022

The Annual #UoNresearchweek is fast approaching. This year’s event will start on Monday, October 24 and will run up to October 28, 2022.

4th Engineering Conference

UoN vice-chancellor welcomes first year students into the University

On the 16th of September 2022, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi Prof. Stephen Kiama gave his address to the freshmen and women joining the University for the September 2022 intake.

At the beginning of his address, the Vice Chancellor introduced Ms Melvin Thogo, the University of Nairobi Student Association president, who began by congratulating all the students for joining the greatest university in east and central Africa.

New Uon council inducted into the University

Uon Chancellor Dr. Vijoo Rattansi welcomed  the newly appointed council into the University of Nairobi.

The  Chancellor  congratulated   the Chairperson Prof. Miriam Were and the other new members of the  Council  on their  appointment  and wished  them  noble  stewardship  tasks  in executing  their  function  that lies ahead of them.
