TECHNOLOGY ENCROACHES TO TRANSPORT INDUSTRY AS MATATUS SET TO GO CASHLESS

National Transport Authority is making a second attempt to implement cashless fares on Kenyan roads. This comes after the first attempt(2015)which failed miserably. 

Covid -19 pandemic  continues to bite and dictate people to go digital in a manner that will see the world shift to the new normal.Companies and governments  all over the world are realizing that they can only survive if they welcome and embrace technology .

SAFARICOM AND STANDARD IN A DEAL TO SELL DIGITAL NEWSPAPER.

The world now is becoming digital in the wake of covid-19. Teaching and learning , meetings and even treatment are now conducted online(digital).

People are now avoiding printed papers i.e newspapers and even  hard cash because of the corona virus transmission. This has contributed to the digital intrusion to the humanity.Companies are now looking into re-engineering of their businesses into the digital world .

Safaricom and other  print media like the standard newspaper have brought their heads together to come up with  an online newspaper at a cost of 20 bob.

COVID-19 AFRICA RAPID GRANT FUND

The deputy vice chancellor research, innovation and enterprise has called upon the university community to apply for the Covid-19  Africa Rapid  Grant Fund.The application  deadline of the grant is 17th June 2020
