COMMENCEMENT OF FACE TO FACE LEARNING FOR THE 2020/21/22 ACADEMIC YEAR

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform the following groups of students that the date for commencement of face to face learning for the 2020/21/22 Academic Year is as follows:

UON STUDENTS PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID

Write a formal letter addressed to the Dean of students , University of Nairobi,the details to be included in the letter are:

1. Details of why you need to be registered for bursary, work study programme or scholarship.

2. Give the family background .

3. Provide your County, Decision, Location names.

4. Attach a recommendation letter from your Chief and Pastor.

5. Names of your parents ( attach certified death certificate copy(ies) where necessary.

6. Name of your constituency.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR EAST AFRICA CITIZEN

IUCEA is  inviting  the citizens of the East African Community to apply for cohort 2 of the KfW- funded Scholarships, to pursue Master’s studies in the EAC Partner State other than their own.


Thematic areas are : 1) Mathematics, 2) Engineering, 3) Informatics, 4) Science,   5) Technology, and 6) Business Science.

 Eligible applicants: Nationals of the East African Community (EAC) Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda).
Duration of the Scholarship: 2 years.  

COLLECTION OF CERTIFICATES : SEPTEMBER 25TH GRADUATES

 

All graduates of the 63rd Congregation for the conferment of degrees and award of diplomas held on September 25, 2020 are requested to collect their certificates at the University of Nairobi Central Examinations Centre, Chiromo Campus in the following order:

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & RESEARCH OUTPUT COMMERCIALIZATION TRAINING

The  Intellectual Property Management Office(IPMO) proposes to train staff, students and researchers from various units of the University, so that their research  products and processes can be protected, moved along into the product development and commercialization phase for the benefit of the researcher, the University and the society.

The training is intended to be practical and therefore the resource persons are drawn from invention/innovation incubation based organizations, inventors with commercialized Intellectual Property and those with relevant business skills.

UoN ICT DATA CENTRE UPGRADED SUCCESSFULLY

The university  ICT data center  has undergone a major upgrade . The upgrade took place  over the weekend of October 3rd - 4th  2020 .The ICT engineers also got the opportunity  to carry out routine maintenance services to all the servers.This is  a step forward in achieving one of the vice chancellor's number one reform agenda i.e data driven management reforms.
